A New School Year ***a few changes since the Open House

Greetings Parents/Guardians

Thank you to those who attended the Open House. I would like to let you know that there have been few changes since then with our staff and the classes they teach.

I am still the homeroom teacher. You can contact me at jenny.levasseur@rbe.sk.ca. I check my email every morning and after school. You can also use the agenda to write me any messages concerning your child as I check them every morning as well.

Contact our school secretary, Mrs Comaniuk, if you have any difficulties logging on to Parent Portal.

Agendas

If you haven't paid for agendas yet, the cost is $2.50. This can be paid in cash to me or online to the school.

Dictée

Students will be doing a weekly spelling test called Dictée. Every week, I choose 10 frequent sight words that students in grades 3 and 4 must know. On Monday, students write the 10 words in their agenda and I also post the words to this blog. Throughout the week, students have a chance to practice the words at school but I also expect them to practice at home. Each Friday, students will write the test. I correct the same day and send them home with the kids. Please check your child's dictée test and initial it. Students bring back their notebook the following Monday.
